International Exchange and Collaboration
In July,2002,the board of Hearing International officially authorized the Center as a member unit of Hearing International organization as well as the Hearing International National(CHINA)Center.
In April,2007,the first International Conference on Prevention and Rehabilitation of Hearing Impairment was held in Beijing International Conference Center. Over 800 participants and delegates attended this conference. This conference initiated to establish International Ear Care Day.
In April,2009, WHO officially approved the Center as WHO Collaborating Center for the Prevention and Rehabilitation of Hearing Impairment. The Center successfully continued its re- designation in 2013、2017 and 2021.
In April,2013, the First Strategic Planning Meeting of WHO Collaborating Centers for Prevention of Deafness was successfully held in Beijing. Over 20 delegates participated in the meeting. They were technical officials on prevention of deafness and hearing loss from WHO and defalcates from Collaborating Centers for Prevention of Deafness in China, the United Kingdom, Iran, Indonesia and other countries.
In December,2016, Multi-Country Workshop on Ear and Hearing Care in WHO Western Pacific Region was held in Beijing. Delegates from WHO and 36 participants including Health Ministry officials, deaf prevention specialists and scholars from 16 countries and regions were present at the workshop.
In December, 2018, the Second World Health Organization Western Pacific Region Ear and Hearing Health Care Symposium was held in Beijing, with more than 40 health officials, medical and audiology experts from 15 countries and regions in the WHO Western Pacific Region attending the conference.
